Psychology can often be confused with other types of mental health services. With that in mind, here is a helpful list of what Select Psychological offers:

Individual psychotherapy: Primarily cognitive-behavioral techniques are used. Family/parent consultation is included in services provided to children and teenagers. Consultation with spouses and other family members may also be provided when working with individuals on an as-needed basis.

Assessments, testing and evaluations: Psychological providers are typically the “go-to” providers for any type of psychological testing. At SPS, the following types of testing are offered:

• Fitness for Duty Evaluations

• Pre-surgical clearances (bariatric assessments, organ transplants)

• Psychoeducational Testing (learning disorders, giftedness)

• Pre-Employment Testing (law enforcement)

• Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

• Family Planning (oocyte donation, gestational carrier, adoption)

Should you need other services (e.g., medication, developmental testing),
